DayLight Prayer – Lord, today I thank your for my baptism and ask you to help me remember it as I watch the cold drops of water fall from the sky. Let me be warmed by your Spirit this day and be cheered by your presence. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I know that some of us feel as though we are being eaten by lions, especially on a Monday. So Lord, remember us in your mercy. Rescue us from all that tries to destroy our life and witness. Set us up on the high place that is near to your heart, where our lives are safe and our souls are content. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Great God. You have made me glad to have had a vacation. You gave me rest, relaxation, fun, and time to think. May I be able to gain strength and peace from your blessing of Sabbath days, and able to give to you the fullness of my work and life. Amen.

DayLight Scripture  – God revealed his hidden design to us, which is according to his goodwill and the plan that he intended to accomplish through his Son. DayLight Prayer – Graceful and wonderful Lord, Today I am blessed with your concrete words, the plans you have made, and the revelation of your goodwill. Let me be a witness to your good work in Jesus Christ that has established the fullness of grace for us all. Help me to continually rely on your Spirit to guide me through the valleys I travel. DayLight Prayer – Lord, I am always bowled over when I think about your love. I am constantly aware that in and of myself alone I don’t deserve such love as you are. I thank you Lord for the Lamb of God who makes me worthy to receive your mercy and live in your grace. Through Jesus’ sacrifice for me, I am not what I once was, I am new. I am new everyday. Thanks be to you God. Amen and Amen.

DayLight Scripture – Jesus called for the Twelve and sent them out in pairs. He gave them authority over unclean spirits. He instructed them to take nothing for the journey except a walking stick—no bread, no bags, and no money in their belts.

Mark 6:7-8

DayLight Prayer – Lord, these verses remind me just how naked we feel when we are in the world trying to live and be who you have called us to be, carriers of the good news. I often forget the authority you give, your assurances of provision, and the great need you want us to see to. Forgive me, Lord. Strengthen my resolve, and strengthen my commitment.  Help me to live fearlessly and help me to share. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I pray for myself and all of us sinners who have mocked you. Forgive me when I do not see you for who you are, and when I acknowledge myself above you…thinking I know best. Forgive me for my ways that on most days are far from what you want for me. Teach me to listen, help me to hear your instruction, and resurrect me to new life everyday. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I want to thank you for this beautiful sunny morning. The cloudiness of the last two days were a wonderful prelude for this clear sky. I ask that you help me to remember that when it is dark and cloudy in my life…that you are there in my future with the light bright pleasure of a new day. Amen.

DayLight Scripture -Look at the rainbow, exceedingly beautiful in its brightness, and bless the one who made it.

Sirach 43:11

DayLight Prayer – You know Lord that rainbows are one of my favorite things. When the sun shines against the distant raining sky from its low-slung berth, I begin to search the sky for the colors. I bless you Lord, for who else could have created such a wonder for our pleasure. Amen.

DayLight Scripture -. God will establish justice in the world rightly; he will judge all people fairly.

Psalm 9:8

DayLight Prayer – I am so glad that it is you who will set the standards of justice and be the judge of it all, Lord. When we do it there is always a big fat mess. Thank you Lord for your mercy and your grace. I am so in need. Amen.
