DayLight Scripture – Give thanks to the Lord because he is good, because his faithful love lasts forever!

Psalm 107:1

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Indeed I give thanks to you Lord. Your constant goodness in my life is immeasurable. I pray today for those of our world who do not know your goodness. Lord send them the good news the best way, so that their lives can be full and lived with purpose.  Amen.

DayLight Scripture –  God fashioned a woman and brought her to the human being. The human said, “This one finally is bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh. She will be called a woman because from a man she was taken.” This is the reason that a man leaves his father and mother and embraces his wife, and they become one flesh.

Genesis 2: 22b-24

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today I pray for people who are married. I ask that you give them strength in the difficult times, forgiveness when they are hurt, and joy in the love and passion they have for one another. Help them to remember why they fell in love and why they got married in the first place. God, bless all married people today.  Amen.

DayLight Scripture –  At that time, I will break the yoke off their necks and remove their shackles. Foreigners will no longer enslave them, declares the Lord of heavenly forces.

Jeremiah 30:8

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Let those we consider foreigners be blessed today. Help us to realize that we in our sins, are foreigners to you, that it is only through Jesus that we may we be forgiven, considered family and receive your grace. Help us to love one another, no matter where we have come from. Help us to remember that you loved us when we were foreigners to you.  Amen.

DayLight Scripture – If we claim, “We have fellowship with God,” and live in the darkness, we are lying and do not act truthfully.

1 John 1:6

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I pray for all those who claim Jesus, but live like the devil. Lord, have mercy.  Amen.

DayLight Scripture –  God said, “Let there be light.” And so light appeared.

Genesis 1:3

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I say a prayer of thanks because I am grateful for the light you place into my life. I pray today for anyone who is in a dark place, who believes that their darkness is permanent, and that it defines them. God help them to experience your presence…and again let there be light. Amen.

DayLight Scripture – When the hired hand sees the wolf coming, he leaves the sheep and runs away. That’s because he isn’t the shepherd; the sheep aren’t really his. So the wolf attacks the sheep and scatters them.

John 10:12

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I pray today for you to protect your sheep from the wolves among them. Help them to be safe, comforted and blessed by and through your mercy and grace. Amen.

DayLight Scripture – The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

John 1:29

DayLight Prayer – Lord, What can we do Lord to be worthy of your wonderful grace? Can we pray? Can we give to the poor? Can we love our enemies? Can we live as Jesus? Today I pray for all of us who do believe that we can somehow work hard enough to be worthy of your grace…when the truth is that Jesus is the only way in which we can be worthy. Your sweet lamb, Jesus.  Amen.

John 6: 8-9

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I  pray today for people who participate in ministry to the poor. Gracious God, please help them make ends meet in all the miraculous ways that you do. Give those ministers the pleasure of work well done, and help them to avoid heartbreak. Reassure them that you are there and see it all. Amen. 

DayLight Scripture –  Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion. Sing aloud, Daughter Jerusalem. Look, your king will come to you. He is righteous and victorious. He is humble and riding on an ass, on a colt, the offspring of a donkey.

Zechariah 9:9

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today my prayer is for men and women who have been kept in the dark about the incarnation of God in Jesus. I ask you God, to send persons who can enlighten their path, so that they, through the work of your Spirit will come to know you. Amen.

DayLight Scripture – In Christ we have bold and confident access to God through faith in him.

Ephesians 3:12

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I know that there are those who are facing one of the hardest days of their lives today. I pray for them and ask you to reveal yourself to them in such a way so that they can be sustained in their faith.  Amen.
