Daylight Scripture – Lord, I admit that there are moments when I am not filled with your love. I look at the things that go on around me. I see what evils are perpetrated upon the innocent. I heard the news of death and devastation caused by random violence…and it hurts my heart. My heart breaks and the love that you have given me seems to fall out through the cracks. I know that I must seek you every – single – day just to persevere. And I know and I witness to the truth that you are there and so is your love to fill me again, eternally. Thanks be to God. Amen.

Daylight Prayer – Gracious Lord, Instruct me in your ways today. Help me to walk fearlessly into this world as a witness to your love and grace. Hold me accountable to the walk the walk. My happiness comes from you, who gives the poor in spirit the blessings of comfort. Praise be the name of the Lord. Amen.

Daylight Prayer – Lord, thank you for the strength that you give me when I go through the valleys of my life. Sometimes, it is hard to think that I can see the next step to take. It is most hard when I am watching others walk along that same valley with me…my pain is compounded by theirs. Lord, I know that you hold us in our grief, confusion and heartbreak, and I am so grateful. Amen.
