DayLight Prayer –

Lord Jesus, thank you for giving me enough faith to believe in your saving power. I certainly know that my deeds are not good enough to save squat–much less my eternal soul–so Jesus, Thank You.  Amen.

DayLight Prayer –

Lord God, King Darius recognized that you are God of all things, omniscient, omnipotent and everlasting. When I get in those moments of stress and fear, help me to stop and remember Darius’ words. Help me take strength from the fact that such a One as You notices and loves even me.  Amen.

Gracious God, As I grow older keep my heart finely attuned to you. Give me faith to trust you day by day even as my life ebbs away and my body begins to fail. Use me to the very end, I pray.  Amen.

Lord, this culture is always offering me more…more food, more stuff, more sex appeal, more fun, more relaxation, more love…more, more, more–Help me turn from the need for more and turn toward my need for you. Keep my heart and my desires focused on the One who satisfies.  Amen.

Heavenly Lord, The promise of rest, especially today, is very appealing to my spirit. An eternity of blessed peace awaits all of us who die knowing you. Thank you for your promise of everlasting blessings. Amen.

Lord, when I look at this crazy world and how we humans hurt and murder one another with fists, weapons, words, and cruel actions, my heart cries out: Have mercy, have mercy upon us. Give us eyes to see, hearts to break, repentance to offer, and wills that want to change. Start with me first. Amen.

Dear Lord,  wisdom and understanding is illusive to me on many days, but I hope and trust that you guide me, even when I lack even a basic type of sense. Thank you, Lord, for your constant presence–the foundation on which I stand. Amen.

DayLight Prayer –

My Lord, a cool head is not easy to keep in some situations. Give me divine intelligence and understanding today to be restrained and wise in my responses. Amen.
