is gracious, and the king is their friend.
Daylight Prayer – Lord, thank you for the love of friends. Thank you for not allowing us to be alone in the world and for giving us one another to lean on. I know that we don’t always get friendships made perfectly, but we would be pretty lonely without one another. Help us to be friends with those who are near us. Amen.
Daylight Scripture – The prayers of the righteous person are powerful in what they can achieve.
Daylight Prayer – Thank you Lord for the constant connection that you give us through prayer. I don’t know how my prayers reach your heart, I just know that they do. So let me always remember that you are just one prayer, one breath, one thought, one hope, one instant from me. All I do is turn. Amen.

Help me to realize that the blessing of love you give to me is to become a blessing of love to others. Give me empathy, grace and a heart overflowing with your mercy. Amen.
Daylight Scripture – Let go of anger and leave rage behind! Don’t get upset—it will only lead to evil.
Daylight Prayer – Lord, I know that it is a bad idea to get angry, but at times my emotions get the best of me. Help me today to not let the small irritations in my world become more than my mouth can contain, and help me to be at peace even when I get mad. Amen.
DayLight Scripture – Dear friends, let’s love each other, because love is from God, and everyone who loves is born from God and knows God.

“Let’s go to the Lord’s house!
Daylight Prayer – Lord, I know that for many of us taking time for going to church is a hassle and more trouble that it seems it is worth. Lord, help us to see that together on Sunday morning, Saturday evening, or anytime there are opportunities to worship together is our time to experience you like no other way we can. I know that church is not always perfect, but help us to see it is what you have given us. Speak to your children. Encourage us all to worship together as often as we can. Amen.
Daylight Scripture – They will again live beneath my shadow, they will flourish like a garden; they will blossom like the vine, their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon.
Daylight Prayer – Great God of heaven, I know that your great love causes us to grow and flourish. Today I pray for people who have not yet come to depend on you like fruit depends on a vine. Help them to meet people, to experience acts of kindness, and see your creation’s beauty, things that will speak to them of you. Enjoin them to your grace and to us. Amen.
Daylight Scripture – And in the morning you say, ‘There will be bad weather today because the sky is cloudy.’ You know how to make sense of the sky’s appearance. But you are unable to recognize the signs that point to what the time is.
Daylight Prayer – Lord, It is so difficult to say what the day will bring our way. We may have a beautiful and pleasant day, or clouds may roll in and overshadow us with storms. Daylight Scripture – I meditate with my heart at night; I complain, and my spirit keeps searching:“Will my Lord reject me forever? Will he never be pleased again? Has his faithful love come to a complete end? Is his promise over for future generations? Has God forgotten how to be gracious? Has he angrily stopped up his compassion?”
Psalm 77: 6-9
Daylight Prayer – God of the creation, Today I pray for myself and all those who sometimes feel lost. Even though our minds may tell us that we are not, our world makes us feel completely abandoned. It caves in some days. It is wicked. It displays its evil side. We become afraid. We wonder…have we been rejected? Lord, have mercy on us, especially on those days when every simple thing goes wrong. Lift us from the dungeons of despair to know that we are not left alone; that you are with us…especially then. Quicken us to your life-giving, perfect Spirit. Amen.
