Help us Lord to know that the here and now is most important. Help us remain undistracted with ruminations about that day and hour, but rather show us that today is the day we are saved. Amen.

Gracious Lord, it isn’t easy to be broken and given away. So Lord, help us to know that when we follow you, when our bodies are blessed, broken and given for others, it is in that sacrifice we become what you asked us to be, a memorial to you.  Amen.

Lord, when we try to put you in a box that we have designed and we have made, forgive us. Show us that you create us, we do not create you. Amen.

May God be my teacher today, and may I be shown Jesus’ way, Jesus’ truth, and Jesus’ life. God, let that vision be my own reason today; that I am Christ-centered in everything I do. Amen.

Because of our God’s merciful compassion, the dawn from heaven will visit us to shine on those who live in darkness and in the deadly shadows; that light will guide us into ways of peace.

Gracious Father, for those of us who feel that we are stumbling around in the deadly dark with grief overwhelming us…I ask you to open the dawn before our eyes and give us the Way to see peace. Only you can cause the dawn. Amen.
