DayLight Scripture -That’s how it goes for anyone who honors the Lord: they will be blessed!

Psalm 128:4

DayLight Prayer – God, we didn’t get any snow today, but I know you will send us some soon. Your work with nature simply delights me, and sometimes astounds me, and sometimes it frightens me. But through it all, I am safe within your care. You bless me, and may I bless you, in the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

Then the trees of the forest will shout out joyfully before the Lord, because he is coming to establish justice on earth!

1 Chronicles 16:33

DayLight Prayer – Lord, today and yesterday the wind blew. I thought of your Spirit then. The wind tore down the last of the leaves, and swept the towering landscape free of death’s debris. Now each limb can be seen raising its strength to the heavens. I couldn’t hear the shout, but I know your Spirit has come to establish your promise of justice. Lord let the tress so shout that it can be heard that You are God. Amen.

God will become a sanctuary—but he will be a stone to trip over and a rock to stumble on for the two houses of Israel; a trap and a snare for those living in Jerusalem.  Many of them will stumble and fall, and be broken, snared, and captured.

Isaiah 8: 14-15

DayLight Prayer – God of mercy, become my sanctuary today. I know that when I am truly worshipping you, many traps and snares will be laid for my heart. I know that you want the whole of it. When I stumble and fall, and you are there to pick up my pieces, I will be made whole yet again. Bless me O Lord, for I have sinned. Forgive me and fill me with your radiance. Amen.

DayLight Scripture  – But thank God, who is always leading us around through Christ as if we were in a parade. He releases the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere through us.

DayLight Prayer – I cherish this day, Lord. You have helped me see beauty in the faces of the ones I love. You have helped me see hope in the world. You have given me joy in small things. Rain drops. Mist. Grey skies. Thank you. Amen.

Genesis 3:10

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I hear in my heart today the signature of your lovely peace. Maybe it is in knowing that you are always with me, or maybe it is in knowing that you love me, or maybe it is in knowing that you have clothed me in yourself. Either way, nothing else at all really matters…at least to me…in this moment. Great God, in gratitude I ask, come to us all once more this day. Save us. Clothe us. I pray. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord! Thank you for helping me feel renewed in my spirit today! I admit that yesterday I felt defeated, which is dumb I know.  After all, I serve you. And serving you brings me joy, even when circumstances and people do not! As I live in you, I can feel defeated, but I know defeat is nothing more than the devil’s lie. Children of God are undefeated in Christ. So thank you Lord for your Spirit that is burning brightly in me today!!! Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Gracious Lord, in this beautiful season of Advent, I await your blessed coming. Were it not for your coming into my heart everyday, I would be lost and undone. Come even today Lord and save me yet again. Amen.

DayLight Scripture  – If one of your relatives—even one of your own siblings—or your own son or daughter or your dear spouse or best friend entices you secretly, if someone like that says: “Come on! We should follow and worship other gods”—ones that neither you nor your ancestors have experienced,  gods from all the neighboring peoples, whether nearby or far away, from one end of the earth to the other— don’t give in to them!

DayLight Prayer – Merciful God, When I am tempted to pledge allegiance to any other than you, break in. Redirect my waywardness and thwart my thoughts. Return me to your steadfast love and forgiveness. In this world that is so rife with things to worship, I can be dragged away so easily, actually so can we all. Amen.

DayLight Scripture  – So I’ll offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to you, and I’ll call on the Lord’s name.

Psalm 116: 17

DayLight Prayer – Lord, today I am thankful for my family, my friends, and my loved ones, these riches that you  have blessed me with. Bless each one today I pray. Amen.

The one who offers a sacrifice of thanksgiving is the one who honors me. And it is to the one who charts the correct path that I will show divine salvation.

Psalm 50:23

DayLight Prayer – I am so grateful Jesus for you. What would my live be without your grace? What end would I have? Where could I get any hope? Who would rescue me from death? How could I love or be loved? Jesus, thank you for what you have done. Amen
