Father, I know my heart isn’t always where it should be…if not on money…then surely on myself. Help me Lord, to place more value on others, and help me grow in generosity. Amen.

Great God of heaven, I want to remember today that when people make up their minds to become gods themselves, they will be confused and scattered. Help me to remember. Amen.

DayLight Prayer –
Lord, how hard it is for me to turn the “other cheek, ” especially when the slaps are sarcastic looks and hateful words. If you help me though, today I will try to go the extra mile and resist giving it back. Amen.

Father, keep me this day from rash words and stupid actions. Let me remember to hold myself in-check, to stop and think things through before I act. Guide me in all ways to reflect the wisdom you give me, and help me rebuke my own hastiness. Amen.

Lord, I wonder if I truly understand that your life lights the whole world; that I see by that light all the important things there are to see. God, I ask, keep me in that life and in that light forever. Amen.
