DayLight Prayer – Lord, I pray today for anybody who is struggling about placing their faith in you. When they have doubts, as everyone does, send people who can make clear that you are not a trick, a slight of hand, or but that you are simply our savior. Help them, Lord, to accept you for who you are, the savior of all creation. Amen.  

DayLight Scripture –Look at how good and pleasing it is when families live together as one! It is like expensive oil poured over the head, running down onto the beard—Aaron’s beard!— which extended over the collar of his robes. It is like the dew on Mount Hermon streaming down onto the mountains of Zion, because it is there that the Lord has commanded the blessing: everlasting life.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today my thoughts are with those whose families have been robbed of their loved ones through tragic events. I pray for the family who has suffered in this way. Give them the comfort of your peace, Lord. Help them to be blessed by the memories of their loved ones. Amen.  

DayLight Scripture – God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today take my life and help me to worship you, to honor you, and to praise you with all I do. You only are worthy of our worship. Amen and amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I know that you are always witnessing what we do. So much of our human activity brings me sadness and grief. Lord I pray for mercy, and ask you to intervene when we humans are senseless, uncaring, and evil. Lord have mercy and resist wiping us all out!  Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today my prayer is for women and men of God who are church planters and church growers. Lord, your people need your spirit to guide, empower, and strength their efforts to build communities that are faithful to your work in your kingdom. Let your spirit rain down upon them, and let your almighty power build them up. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord of Heaven, Thank you for my health. You have given me a body that is amazing! Yet one day it will begin to grow old, turn gray and be covered with wrinkles. My prayer today is for those whose bodies have reached old age. May you strengthen them in their difficult days and help them with this time when they must be quieter than they may want to be. Comfort their spirit with yours. Amen.

DayLight Scripture -And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

Ephesians 6:4

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today I am thinking about all of those hardworking fathers in the world; those who love you and their families. There are good men in the world who take care of their loved ones, who are tender, kind, thoughtful, and big-hearted. I know a bunch of them. I pray Lord that they be encouraged today, and that they hear someone say how much they are appreciated. I love my dad, who was a great blessing in my life. I miss him. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Indeed I give thanks to you Lord. Your constant goodness in my life is immeasurable. I pray today for those of our world who do not know your goodness. Lord send them the good news the best way, so that their lives can be full and lived with purpose.  Amen.

DayLight Scripture –  God fashioned a woman and brought her to the human being. The human said, “This one finally is bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh. She will be called a woman because from a man she was taken.” This is the reason that a man leaves his father and mother and embraces his wife, and they become one flesh.

Genesis 2: 22b-24

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today I pray for people who are married. I ask that you give them strength in the difficult times, forgiveness when they are hurt, and joy in the love and passion they have for one another. Help them to remember why they fell in love and why they got married in the first place. God, bless all married people today.  Amen.

DayLight Scripture –  At that time, I will break the yoke off their necks and remove their shackles. Foreigners will no longer enslave them, declares the Lord of heavenly forces.

Jeremiah 30:8

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Let those we consider foreigners be blessed today. Help us to realize that we in our sins, are foreigners to you, that it is only through Jesus that we may we be forgiven, considered family and receive your grace. Help us to love one another, no matter where we have come from. Help us to remember that you loved us when we were foreigners to you.  Amen.
