DayLight Prayer – Lord, These days the world can look like and be a dark and scary place. We see people killed, maimed, starved, and thrown away like a mere commodity. You are hurt that we use and abuse one another like we do. I pray for myself and all of us who proclaim Jesus as our Lord and savior, that we will stand up and be who you desire for us to be. Help us God to live like we are eternal recipients of your grace, like we have love to share, and like we are who we proclaim ourselves to be: the bearers of Light and liberty for God’s world.  Amen.

DayLight Prayer – I know what you said, Lord, but for me it is really hard to pray for my harassers! I have a tendency to fume and falter and fail. DayLight Prayer – Oh God. I know that all of us will one day cross over from this life to the life waiting for us with you. Lord, indeed you have saved me, and save us all. It’s just that some of us wander around not knowing that you have. Help me to spread that Good News in such a way that if I encounter someone who doesn’t yet know, that they can hear that news and welcome you and your salvation. Amen.
