Daylight Scripture – The women were frightened and bowed their faces toward the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He isn’t here, but has been raised. 

Luke 24 : 5-6

Daylight Prayer – Lord Jesus, I would have been just as frightened as the women were that day. I mean, who can believe such a wondrous thing. First, that you would come to be one of us…straight out of heaven… and live a life like ours. Second, that you would be willing to give up that life for us…your life that is perfect for our lives which are ruined. And, third, that you would conquer not just our sin, but death for us. I mean, Lord, it’s scary and wonderful, miraculous and beautiful, simply too big for words. But, I am so grateful, my beloved, that you have rescued me and all of creation. Lord, bless and keep each one this Easter Day! Amen.
