Daylight Scripture – Then one of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and said, “What will you give me if I turn Jesus over to you?” They paid him thirty pieces of silver.  From that time on he was looking for an opportunity to turn him in.

Daylight Prayer – Lord, today is the day we remember how Judas betrayed you to the people who would have you killed. You knew that he was going to do it, for you knew his soul. How many times have I betrayed you? Did you know that I would? Forgive me, Lord. Cleanse me from the darkness of heart that would permit me to betray you…even in the slightest way. I know your mercy is never-ending, and your love strong enough to save me from my sin and from myself. Lord in your mercy, hear my prayer. Amen.
