DayLight Scripture – The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,  because the Lord has anointed me. He has sent me to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to liberate the oppressed, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, These words help me to remember my own calling. Thank you for the blessings of life and ministry. I have come to learn that when we follow the calling your give us, or as some might say, realize our life purpose and do it, our lives are anointed; anointed by your Spirit, your grace, and your favor. Help me each day to overcome my own resistance to follow you, and enable me to continue to share the good news. Amen.
