Daylight Scripture –  There was a man sent from God whose name was John.  He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

John 1: 6-8

Daylight Prayer – Gracious Lord, Today I think about all the people who need your light; those who live in dark places, dungeons of doubt, caves of crisis, and man-holes of misery. Please send a “John” or a “Jane” to find them. Bring them the witness to your love, mercy and grace. Let the light shine in their darknesses and bring them hope. Amen.
