DayLight Prayer – Gracious Lord. How may I honor you today? When I feel sick, head-achy, and like I just want to go back to bed? Do I honor you in resting? Do I honor you in giving into my own needs rather than seeing to others? Do I honor you when I forsake the trivial meeting, the neatly prepared script, the should-dos, the supposed-to-dos, the practices of pastor extraordinaire? Huh!? Well, I was just wondering. Bless me Lord, I pray. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – God, we didn’t get any snow today, but I know you will send us some soon. Your work with nature simply delights me, and sometimes astounds me, and sometimes it frightens me. DayLight Prayer – Lord, today and yesterday the wind blew. I thought of your Spirit then. The wind tore down the last of the leaves, and swept the towering landscape free of death’s debris. DayLight Prayer – Lord! Thank you for helping me feel renewed in my spirit today! I admit that yesterday I felt defeated, which is dumb I know. After all, I serve you. And serving you brings me joy, even when circumstances and people do not! As I live in you, I can feel defeated, but I know defeat is nothing more than the devil’s lie. Children of God are undefeated in Christ. So thank you Lord for your Spirit that is burning brightly in me today!!! Amen.
