DayLight 10.17.13

DayLight Scripture –

God is our refuge and strength, a help always near in times of great trouble. That’s why we won’t be afraid when the world falls apart, when the mountains crumble into the center of the sea, when its waters roar and rage, when the mountains shake because of its surging waves.

Psalm 46: 1-3

DayLight Prayer – Merciful Lord, In these days, I often feel the surging waves of the rocky sea. I think of your church whose people are afraid of the future, whether or not they will survive through the onslaught of this post-modern constantly-changing world. They wonder what is happening, and why what they have always done is not working anymore. Help your church Lord to see past this present age to the future you have promised. Help us to focus on you. You are indeed our refuge and strength, and in you our fears vanish. Fill us with your Holy Spirit and make us bold.   Amen.
