DayLight Scripture – A voice was heard in Ramah,
weeping and much grieving.
Rachel weeping for her children,
and she did not want to be comforted,
because they were no more.

Matthew 2:18

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I know people who are weeping and who refuse to be comforted. This world, the events of their lives have caused them such overwhelming grief and loss, that they don’t believe they are worthy to feel comfort ever again. They think…what’s the use? For them I ask today. I pray that you will break through their dark sorrows and fill a small corner of their existence with your radiant light. Let them feel your presence, so that they will know that they are worthy to be loved and healed by you. Do this God, in the name of your Son, our Lord Jesus.  Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, You have sent me many words of warning. Some of them I’ve treated like a dream of no consequence. Please forgive me when I do not heed your warnings and your counsel. Keep them clear as a bell, so that I will recognize your voice. Thank you Lord, for leading me. Help me to follow. Amen.

Luke : 11-12

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Thank you for a beautiful day when things went right for a change. You have blessed me with being in the presence of healers whom you work through, those who give their lives to the cause of wellness, signs of the kingdom. For that I am so grateful. Amen.

DayLight Scripture –  And Mary gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.

DayLight Prayer – Happy Birthday Jesus! Amen.

DayLight Scripture – And while they were in Bethlehem, the time came for Mary to give birth.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, when you were born in Bethlehem, and you looked into Mary’s eyes, what did you think? Were you like me, unable to understand what was happening, unable to say hello, unable to do more than cry, kick and hope to be fed? I think you were just like me, but oh so much more. You are God. You are who brings me hope. Amen.

DayLight Scripture – God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a city in Galilee, to a virgin who was engaged to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David’s house. The virgin’s name was Mary.

Luke 2:26-27

DayLight Prayer – Lord, For centuries men and women have praised you for these very words about an angel and a girl. Today I join them with my own praise. Thank you God for your mercy in making a way for this young girl to bear your child, who is our light and our life. Thank you for Mary, who became a willing physical vessel for your love, your treasured  gift to us. Amen.

DayLight Scripture – “I assure you that whoever doesn’t welcome God’s kingdom like a child will never enter it.” Then he hugged the children and blessed them.

Mark 10: 15-16

DayLight Prayer – Lord, in the midst of this rush around season, I am so thankful for time to connect with others who bless my life. The kids and families of Sunshine house have brought me joy today and have helped me remember you and your love for all of us. Amen.

DayLight Scripture – But why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you look down on your brother or sister? Everyday we all will be judged by God.

Romans 14: 10

DayLight Prayer – Lord, today I am eternally grateful that I am not the judge of people. Help me to remember myself and my stuff, and leave others to account for their own. Amen.

Look! A virgin will become pregnant and give birth to a son, And they will call him, Emmanuel. (Emmanuel means “God with us.”)

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I am so blessed today for having witnessed your Holy kingdom at work. Please bless every single person who donated to Christian Ministry of Lincoln Co. Let them know that their love was spread abroad today as family after family was blessed with gifts of food and Christmas presents. God…your kingdom in action ROCKS! Amen

While they were there, the time came for Mary to have her baby. She gave birth to her firstborn child, a son, wrapped him snugly, and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the guestroom.

Luke 2: 6-7

DayLight Prayer – Emmanuel, Into the midst of a harsh world you came. Helpless, dependent, just like we are when we arrive. What a chance you took! That Mary, that Joseph would receive you. I think you are still taking chances. I wonder who will receive you today? Amen.
