DayLight Scripture –  But you, dear friends: build each other up on the foundation of your most holy faith, pray in the Holy Spirit,  keep each other in the love of God, wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will give you eternal life. Have mercy on those who doubt. 

Jude 1: 20-22

DayLight Prayer – Lord, My heart today is with all those who have discouragement and doubts. Those feelings sometimes haunt even the most faithful Christian. Life and people throw us curves and we wonder…Lord, what is going on? I pray for each one who is having a blue day, or may be depressed, or even sad. Bless them with your wonderful love and your faithful presence, so they will perk up in Spirit! Amen.

DayLight Scripture – I will make the blind walk a road they don’t know,
and I will guide them in paths they don’t know.
But I will make darkness before them into light
and rough places into level ground.
These things I will do;
I won’t abandon them.

Isaiah 42:16

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I love these words of promise for all of us who are walk in the dark and feel lost. To hear you say you will not abandon me is the best news I or anyone can get. Lord, help me know this day of your plans, and help anyone who is struggling in darkness to remember that you have promised them…light.  Amen.

DayLight Scripture – But when Peter saw how strong the wind was, he was afraid and started sinking. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.

Matthew 14:30

DayLight Prayer – Blessed Lord, Today I pray for those who are in the midst of a storm and believe that they are sinking. I know the strength in your presence with them, so I ask you to be present with them and save them. Some may not even know they need you, but they do. Thank you Lord for every single time you have saved me. I am blessed.  Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today I pray for anyone who is not experiencing peace in their life. I pray that you come in whatever form that will be helpful to them, and bring the peace that only you can. I bless your name for the peace and joy I have in knowing and living with you. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, How is it that you can take such small things and make so much? Will you take the piddley bit of love I have within me, and multiply it like the loves and fishes…better yet, just fill me with your love! Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I’m ignoring the thief today. There is nothing that the thief can take from me since you Lord are helping me to hold on to everything. I love you Lord for how you love and protect me and bring me the best life, the fullest life, a life of love and grace! Amen.

DayLight Scripture – Examine me, God! Look at my heart! Put me to the test! Know my anxious thoughts! Look to see if there is any idolatrous way in me, then lead me on the eternal path!

Psalm 139: 22-23

DayLight Prayer – Lord, This day has brought me many blessing, of which I am so thankful. May you always know me, examine me and put me to the test, for I want to be what you want. Let me live with the light of Christ shining from me.  Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Thank you for the moments of this day. I know that every one of them are dear, since I am only here for such a brief time. Enter into me, into my day, into my being, so that as I experience the moments of my life, they will be spent with you, my Lord and my life.  Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord of Heaven. Hear the prayers of all your sheep today. Those in the pen that we wander around in and also those in other pens. I know that your love is such that sometimes you speak to each of us in ways that only we can hear you. Make it that we all hear your voice and fall beneath your saving grace. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today my prayer is for men and women who are on battlefields. Some are there by choice. Some are there by force. Some are there because they have been told that it is their duty or station in life. I pray for each one. I pray that your presence protects them, indeed that you keep them from falling…falling prey to overwhelming fear, boredom, hate or apathy. Help each one Lord know and remember that they are yours and as such are protected and loved by the one whose glory, majesty, power and authority is above all other things. Amen.
