DayLight Prayer – Lord, Am I a guard of your laws? I never thought of myself with such a duty. But if guarding that law that says we are to love you and to love others, then I suppose I can try to guard it with all of my strength, mind, heart, and soul. Help me to be the best guard of your law as I can be. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord,  Thank you for showing us with your actions, and teaching us in your word how to be compassionate. Sometimes I neglect to be as compassionate as I want to be. I want my life to reflect your goodness, and not my badness. So help me today I pray. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord,  Help us to avoid the envy that takes over our lives causing us to seek after meaningless angles, fruitless ventures, and ridiculous projects. Help us to see the folly of thinking we are supposed to be someone other than who you created us to be. Help us to know you and know ourselves, so that our work and gifts won’t be wasted. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Gracious and abundant-life-giving Lord, I pray for all of us who do see the thief sneaking up to steal our joy, to kill our spirits, and to destroy our day.  Help us to be aware, help us smell the old bait of Satan for what it is…dead and stinking! Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, For all of us who are cast down today, I pray for your strength and hope. Help us to remember that life is a rhythm of patterns, and you are always there in the highs and the lows, the ups and the downs. You ride the waves of life’s rocky seas with us, securing us with your strong arms. I rejoice in the power of your strength. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Jesus my Lord, When I see the night sky, the wide dark, the flicker of stars, the expanse, I am sure…that you…only you could do such a thing, create such things. You created me, and you created each one of us…the same creator who created the firmament above us. Great is this creative, life making, love showering God of mine! Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord,  Thank you for the astonishment I feel sometimes when I am ushered into you presence by your sweet Holy Spirit. I feel just like Ruth, thinking I don’t deserve the blessings that you pour out. I don’t deserve the way you fill my heart and treat me like one of your own. God, I pray for every one of your children who have wandered so far away that they don’t know how much you love them. Save them in Jesus’ name. Amen.

DayLight Prayer –  I know that our peace comes from you God. Send your peace. I pray for the people of the Middle East, asking for intervention, reasonable attitudes, and mercy. The children are innocent. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, In the ordinariness of life I welcome the knowledge that you shelter me. Your promises are new everyday. When I am low, there you are to lift me, to send someone with a good word, or a sunset, or a gentle rain to soothe my spirit. Loving Father, I praise you. Amen.
