Luke 15: 3-4

DayLight Prayer – Lord, How many times a day do we consider the lost sheep? Do we see them when we move from one place of focus to another? Do we think about them when we are eating our lunch, or getting our nails done, or walking across the putting green? Do we hope for them? look for them? find them and bring them home? Lord have mercy on us, and give us your heart…the heart of a shepherd. Amen.

Daylight Prayer – Lord, Today I pray for persons who need wisdom and understanding. I am certainly among them. Help us to think about the decisions of our lives with great care. Get us off the phone, tablets, tv, and computer and encourage us to use our own minds and hearts and hands. Give us your tenderness, love and mercy to share. Amen.

Daylight Prayer – Lord help us to remember that we all are sinners, and none of us can cast stones at another. Lord, forgive us for our arrogance, and save us from our judgments and hurtful words…which feel like rocks hitting. Amen.

I pray for your strength to sustain us, and our loving fellowship to adhere us to one another, so that on that day, which Isaiah says will come, we will be found faithful. Amen.

Daylight Prayer – Lord, my prayer today is for people for are living in war-torn countries. God, please grant them courage, safety, and peace. Come Lord Jesus, and break down the barriers the separate us and cause us to hate. Turn us into peacemakers rather than the war makers we are. Amen.
