DayLight Prayer – Father, our obedience is difficult. We have trouble feeding the hungry, because we want to feed ourselves first and best. Help me today to resist placing others last, help me to take on your way and think of others first. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, My prayer today is for those who are engaged in scientific research. They are the ones you have gifted to see beyond where most of us can see. Thank  you for them because without their lives we would not have light bulbs, treatments for cancer, or plastic! Thank you for this. your word-created world. Help us everyday to better understand it, cherish it and take care of it. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today I pray for all those who have suffered losses. I pray that you carry them within your gentle grace. May they be counted among the ones who are blessed in the midst of their grief because they can see you. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Gracious Lord, Today I pray for people whose hearts are troubled. I know many of them, and many I do not.  Send your joyful Spirit to minster to the joyless and open their minds to possibility, wonder, and hope.  Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I am amazed that even in the midst of your busyness, you know when the dew falls. How awesome! Let me  always remember the dew drops, so that I will recall that nothing that effects this earth is outside of your knowledge. Amen.

DayLight Scripture –  No temptation has seized you that isn’t common for people. But God is faithful. He won’t allow you to be tempted beyond your abilities. Instead, with the temptation, God will also supply a way out so that you will be able to endure it.

Corinthians 10:13

DayLight Prayer – Lord, stand by me when temptations assail me. Give me strength to be angry and not sin, to be hurt and not retaliate, be to embarrassed and not hate. Let your strong arm hold me back from my own injurious desires.  Amen.
