DayLight Prayer – God of heaven, forgive me when I think of myself more highly than others. I know that your love extends into all places, into all hearts, into all situations. Help me to be more like you and consider the whole and not just the part that I may see of a person’s life. Help me to accept that there are things I’ll never know about another person, and help me to extend grace when I don’t understand someone’s behavior and words. Help me to remember that you have surely gifted us all differently, and my gifts are no better than another’s. Forgive me for judging. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Thank  you Lord, for the great blessing to rest in the peace of knowing that like a good shepherd, you are providing all my needs…All of my needs, even those of which I do not know. DayLight Prayer – Today I am so thankful for the beauty that surrounds me. You have made this earth into an incredibly wonderful home for us. Thank you God for the sky, the soil, the sun and the rain which provides us nourishment and peace. Amen.

Psalm 24:7

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Open the mighty gates of my heart, and enter in. Today I pray for all who have slammed the door in your face. Those who have been hurt, or are tired, or frustrated with the way things are going. I pray Lord that your sweet loving Spirit will swoop into them, and give them the grace to let you back in…or even in for the first time. God I bless your name because  you are mighty to save. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today I pray for all of us whose faith wobbles at times; when we do not see how a situation, a conflict, an outcome can ever change. I know that all the faith I have comes directly from you, so I pray for you to instill more faith in me. Help me see the potential in situations and in people. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Gracious God, Thank you for the wonderful things you do in my world. Help me with this holiness stuff. You know how I am, one holy thought is followed by an unholy one. I know that I am a sinner, saved by your grace. I know that you have given me power over sin. But I need your strength for staying on the straight and narrow! Help me to move closer and become more sanctified than I was yesterday. Let the wonderful things you do block unholiness from me today.  Save me today I pray! Amen.

Psalm 67:3

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I know your justice is true because you know all things. Today I pray that all persons who are wondering if you know them. I pray that they come to see that nothing is hidden from you. We can hide from the world, but no thing, no person, no situation, no fear, no hurt, no humiliation, no ridicule…nothing is hidden from you. Help us God to trust that you love us completely. Amen.

DayLight Scripture – Jesus said to the Jews who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teaching. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I am grateful today for the freedom you have given us. We have the freedom to be faithful to your teaching or not. Help me today to remember my freedom to choose and help me to choose the right. Forgive me when I choose wrongly. Amen.

Even on this July evening, it is clear and the stars are brilliant. I love seeing your great handiwork above me, and also in the earth below. I am blow away by your creative and restorative nature…our grace upon grace. Amen
