DayLight Prayer – Lord,  I am so grateful for Jesus because my sins are many, and I need an advocate like him. Amen.  

DayLight Scripture – So put to death the parts of your life that belong to the earth, such as sexual immorality, moral corruption, lust, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry). The wrath of God is coming upon disobedient people because of these things.

Colossians 3: 5-6

DayLight Prayer – Lord I know that many of us do not often think about ourselves in negative terms like immoral, corrupt, lustful, greedy and filled with evil desire. But, in many small ways these sins lurk in our hearts and lives. Forgive us, and fill us with the Spirit of Christ. Awaken us to our need for repentance. Amen.  

DayLight Scripture –“I give you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, so you also must love each other. ³⁵ This is how everyone will know that you are my disciples, when you love each other.”

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I pray today that you help us all with keeping this commandment. Help me to love others like you have loved me. Amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I pray today for anybody who is struggling about placing their faith in you. When they have doubts, as everyone does, send people who can make clear that you are not a trick, a slight of hand, or but that you are simply our savior. Help them, Lord, to accept you for who you are, the savior of all creation. Amen.  

DayLight Scripture –Look at how good and pleasing it is when families live together as one! It is like expensive oil poured over the head, running down onto the beard—Aaron’s beard!— which extended over the collar of his robes. It is like the dew on Mount Hermon streaming down onto the mountains of Zion, because it is there that the Lord has commanded the blessing: everlasting life.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today my thoughts are with those whose families have been robbed of their loved ones through tragic events. I pray for the family who has suffered in this way. Give them the comfort of your peace, Lord. Help them to be blessed by the memories of their loved ones. Amen.  

DayLight Scripture – God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today take my life and help me to worship you, to honor you, and to praise you with all I do. You only are worthy of our worship. Amen and amen.

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I know that you are always witnessing what we do. So much of our human activity brings me sadness and grief. Lord I pray for mercy, and ask you to intervene when we humans are senseless, uncaring, and evil. Lord have mercy and resist wiping us all out!  Amen.

Sirach 47:13

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today my prayer is for women and men of God who are church planters and church growers. Lord, your people need your spirit to guide, empower, and strength their efforts to build communities that are faithful to your work in your kingdom. Let your spirit rain down upon them, and let your almighty power build them up. Amen.

Psalm 73:26

DayLight Prayer – Lord of Heaven, Thank you for my health. You have given me a body that is amazing! Yet one day it will begin to grow old, turn gray and be covered with wrinkles. My prayer today is for those whose bodies have reached old age. May you strengthen them in their difficult days and help them with this time when they must be quieter than they may want to be. Comfort their spirit with yours. Amen.
