DayLight Prayer – Lord, Thank you. Thank you for being the good in my life. Thank you for loving me in spite of what I have achieved or not achieved. Thank you for knowing that your love does indeed last forever. How very awesome!   Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that the entire message would be preached through me and so all the nations could hear it. I was also rescued from the lion’s mouth!

2 Timothy 4:17

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Thank you for all those who proclaim the good news to the world. Many times they can become discouraged by the “lions” surrounding them. Encourage them, lift them up in your Holy Spirit so that they can preach, teach, lead and guide with wisdom from above…wisdom from you alone.  Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – The Lord God took the human and settled him in the garden of Eden to farm it and to take care of it.

Genesis 2:15

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I am so grateful for this beautiful world you have given us to live in. I know that we do not take care of it as we should. Forgive us, and help us to realize that this is our home, the one you gave us, and it is where we obtain all that we have. Help us to take care of it, just as you intend.  Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – Those who dwell on the far edges stand in awe of your acts. You make the gateways of morning and evening sing for joy.

Psalm 65:8

DayLight Prayer – Almighty One, How many people are there who stand on the far edges? How many stand in awe, and want to draw close? Wherever they are, whomever they are, give them courage to step closer to you. Show them the joy that abounds within your gates.   Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – “Hannah, why are you crying?” her husband Elkanah would say to her. “Why won’t you eat? Why are you so sad? Aren’t I worth more to you than ten sons?”

1 Samuel 1:8

DayLight Prayer – Lord, Today my heart is with those who disparately want to have a child but for one or another reason are unable to. I pray that you send comfort to them and help them in their times of sadness. Help families too, to understand that unique sadness and be kind. Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – How well you have helped the weak, saved those with frail arms, advised one lacking wisdom, informed many with insight!

Job 26: 2-3

DayLight Prayer – Gracious Lord, I know that you ask us to be involved in the lives of others. So I pray that today you open the doors that we need opened so that we can be of comfort, of wisdom and help to those who are in need. Be the way maker for me today.  Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – Blessed are people who show mercy, because they will receive mercy.

Matthew 5:7

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I ask forgiveness when I fail to be merciful. I know it is because I constantly put myself first, which I know is a sin. Help me Lord, to be merciful to all persons in all situations.   Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – “Whoever is faithful with little is also faithful with much, and the one who is dishonest with little is also dishonest with much.

Luke 16:10

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I pray for the faithfulness that you intend for me, so that what ever I am given I will be faithful with it. Help me to seek you in all dealings, and to be a blessing to others. Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – I’m sure about this: the one who started a good work in you will stay with you to complete the job by the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

DayLight Prayer – Lord, When I think of myself and of others, I know that we are not finished yet. I know that you have begun the good work in us, but by the way I act sometimes…and the way others act… well I know that we have not reached perfection! Forgive me Lord when my ways are not your ways, and please continue to work on and in each of us who are called by your name. Move us every moment to a greater awareness to what it is to be your disciple.   Amen. 

DayLight Scripture – Faith is the reality of what we hope for, the proof of what we don’t see.

Hebrew 11:1

DayLight Prayer – Lord, I pray for more faith today. In these times, I do not want to be without it, for my life would be aimless. Maybe there are others who need it too, Lord. If so, I pray that you give Godly faith for all we need. I like having proof of things I can’t yet see.  Amen.
