Daylight Scripture – On that day: The deaf will hear the words of a scroll and, freed from dimness and darkness, the eyes of the blind will see. The poor will again find joy in the Lord, and the neediest of people will rejoice in the holy one of Israel.

Daylight Prayer – Holy God, I know that we still struggle day to day to keep faith in a world that seems to be very out-of-control. I pray for your strength to sustain us, and our loving fellowship to adhere us to one another, so that on that day, which Isaiah says will come, we will be found faithful. Amen.
